SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 22

Congratulating the Moorefield High School football team for winning
the state Class A championship.
Whereas, The Moorefield High School football team ended the
1997 football season with an outstanding season record, earning it
a chance to participate in the state Class A championship playoffs
and a chance to win the state Class A championship for the second
consecutive year; and
Whereas, The Moorefield High School football team participated
in and won the 1997 the state Class A championship for the second
consecutive year; and
Whereas, The outstanding leadership of head coach Alan Fiddler
and his coaching staff, along with the athletic ability of each
team player, helped bring the state Class A championship to
Moorefield High School for the second consecutive year, much to the
pride of all who assisted the Moorefield High School football team,
including the managers, cheerleaders, trainers, athletic director,
principal and students of Moorefield High School; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby congratulates the Moorefield High
School football team for an outstanding 1997 football season and
for bringing the state Class A championship title to the campus of Moorefield High School for the second consecutive year; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to the football coach, the principal of
Moorefield High School and the members of the 1997 football team.
